Jason Layton, Vice President
Jason Layton, Vice President, joined Jacobs Capital after serving in senior corporate development and management roles at Quintiles, Health Decisions and PPD, where he was instrumental in over $1 billion in M&A transactions. Mr. Layton began his career as an M&A attorney with the international law firm Hunton & Williams, and later as in-house counsel at The Compass Group, an international food services organization. Jason spent 9 years in the pharmaceutical services industry where, in addition to his M&A roles, he held finance P&L responsibility for business units ranging from $10m to over $700m in annual revenue.
Mr. Layton received his B.S. degree from Duke University; his J.D. from Tulane Law School--where he was a Merit Fellowship recipient and Director of the Tulane Legal Assistance Program-- and his MBA from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School, where he was also a Merit Fellowship recipient. He is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Raleigh-Durham chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), current Treasurer for the Duke Alumni Club of the Triangle, and a Sunday School teacher at White Memorial Presbyterian Church.
