Michael Jacobs
Michael Jacobs, the founder and CEO of Jacobs Capital, LLC has an extensive background managing corporate finance practices for major firms. After a summer on Wall Street working for the nation's top M&A advisor, he began his investment banking career with Robinson Humphrey, the largest securities firm in the southeast. Mr. Jacobs subsequently managed the corporate finance practice for one of the 20 largest commercial banks in the United States; for a global consulting firm; and most recently, before founding Jacobs Capital in 1998, he served as Managing Director and head of the Atlanta office for the nation's premier business valuation firm, Houlihan Lokey. Mr. Jacobs served as Director of Corporate Finance at the U.S. Treasury Department during the Bush (Sr.) Administration (1989-1991), where he was responsible for national policy in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, corporate governance, and certain banking and tax matters.
Mr. Jacobs is the author of Short-Term America (Harvard Business School Press) which was named one of the ten best business books in 1991. He later published Break the Wall Street Rule: Outperform the Stock Market by Investing as an Owner (Addison Wesley) which was the main selection of the Fortune Book Club in spring 1993. He has served on several corporate boards and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and Harvard Business School. Michael Jacobs is a member of the faculty at the University of North Carolina where he teaches part-time in the MBA School and at Kennesaw State University, where he teaches in the Executive MBA Program.

Rob Glen
Prior to affiliating with Jacobs Capital, Rob was a Director at Prudential Volpe Technology, an investment banking and research unit of Prudential Securities, where he was responsible for originating financing and advisory engagements in the enterprise software sector. He served companies in the infrastructure software segment as well as the business-to-business applications category. His duties also included coordination of Prudential's strategic alliance with Silicon Valley Bank and the marketing of its banking and research capabilities to the venture capital community. Mr. Glen also served as chief of staff to Prudential's chief executive officer, as a Washington representative specializing in investment-related public policy issues, and as a founder of the investment bank's successful referral program for retail brokers.
Mr. Glen received a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an M.A. from the Paul Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at The Johns Hopkins University and an M.B.A. from the Leonard Stern School of Business of New York University, where he was named a Stern Scholar.

Mark King
Mark joined Jacobs Capital after an extensive career as a CPA, CFO and an investment banker. Early in his career, Mark worked as a CPA for Arthur Andersen, and by the age of 28 was named CFO of The Pantry, a 450-store chain of convenience stores headquartered in North Carolina. He subsequently joined the investment banking group at RBC Centura Bank, where he was located in their Raleigh office. When RBC consolidated its office in Charlotte, Mark remained in Raleigh and joined RSM McGladry , where he headed up due diligence services in the Carolinas, responsible for representing both strategic buyers and private equity firms in evaluating potential acquisitions. Mark is a graduate of Wake Forest University and the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He serves on the board of the Research Triangle chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.
